Welcome to our scholarship committee, a group of students working together to help other students.

The ALPFA at UIC Scholarship Committee is an extension of the Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA) chapter at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC).  Created as a way to give back to the community, the Scholarship Committee organizes ways to raise funds to help students in need through academic scholarships.

Bi-monthly meetings take place to discuss the raising of funds and the promotion of our efforts.  Funds are raised via the sale of tickets to participate in events, like soccer tournaments, dances, and raffles.  It is our main goal to help as many students as possible; therefore, in these meetings, we discuss how to reach out to applicants and how we build relationship with out donors.  Our promotions are both in physical and virtual form via posters, flyers, social media, and email outreach.

We continue ALPFA's mission of empowering future Latino leaders by raising funds for scholarships for higher education at UIC.  Scholarship funding is done by holding soccer tournaments, hosting dances, holding raffles, and more.  The scholarships are rewarded to qualifying applicants who plan on attending UIC.

The ALPFA at UIC Scholarship is a need and merit-based scholarship.  We encourage all qualifying members and first-year students to apply.  We encourage anyone of any legal status to apply, as well.  Click on the link below to download the form.
